Plan for the day
  • 9:30 a.m.: Pick-up from the hotel, guide for the day will meet you at the hotel lobby
  • 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.: Visit the Bangala Sahib Gurudwara (Sikh Temple) and see the people worshiping and the sacred water tank. As with all Sikh Gurdwaras, the concept of langar is practiced where all people, regardless of race or religion may eat in the Gurdwara kitchen (langar hall) together. The Langar (food) is prepared by gursikhs who work there and also by volunteers who like to help out. At the Gurdwara, visitors are requested to cover their hair and not to wear shoes. If you wish you can also volunteer!! Doing "Seva" makes you feel good. Seva can be rendered in many forms. You can serve food to the people during langar, making chappatis, help in the cleaning of the Gurudwara or just help the Gurudwara authorities in any task they are trying to accomplish
  • 11:30 to 12:30 p.m.: Walk through the Janpath Market Lane which is known for street shopping of items such as clothes and souvenirs
  • 12:30 to 1:30 p.m..: Break for lunch at a local restaurant (Haldirams). Try the hygenic local street food (Try Chole Bhature, Bhalla Papadi, Aloo Tikki and Matar Kulcha or standard veg Thali)
  • 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.: Visit the local market of Sarojini Nagar for shopping and see the vegetable market, purchase what you like to eat in the dinner
  • 4:30 to 8:00 p.m.: Visit a local home in Delhi and learn how to cook local North India Food (Vegetarian),in an interactive cooking session.Chat about the daily life in Delhi and enjoy your dinner.
  • 8:30 0r 9:00 p.m.: Get dropped at the hotel
